Adventure Case!

This 6 bottle mixed case of 3 reds and 3 whites explores some of the more leftfield corners of our selection.  Originally created to celebrate #tryjanuary this case embraces this ethos and encourages consumers to try something a little different, be adventurous, fun and a little different.

Domaine du Moulin Camus, Folle Blanche - Found exclusively in western France, Folle Blanche is a rare white grape variety in the west of the Loire Valley, where it is known as Gros Plant and used in the production of dry white wines.  A great alternative to Picpoul de Pinet – this is the ultimate wine to drink with shellfish.

Casa Balaguer-Vinessens, Tragolargo Moscatel Malvasia - The Tragolargo Moscatel Malvasia, by garage winery Vinessens / Finca Casa Balaguer, is an orange wine made with a blend of Moscatel and Malvasía, certified organic.  Very fruity, bit floral, some spices, even a little funk with lovely texture.  For the adventurous why not give an an orange wine a try?!

The Foundry, Grenache Blanc 2020 (South Africa) - Recently awarded South Africa’s White wine of 2019!!  The Foundry Grenache Blanc has lifted floral aromas.  Full, orangey, peachy flavours, lovely texture and mouth-filling qualities.  The palate is rich but restrained with focused, pure fruit, mineral and zesty notes come to the fore on a long finish.

Judith Beck Hunny Bunny (Austria) - It is axiomatic that every producer of new-era natural wine should have at least one label that is graphic or flirts with the suggestive. The No Sexual Services pink bunny label is Blaufrankisch but not as you know it. It's pinkish-red with oodles of refreshing, stemmy sour cherry fruit and mouth-cleansing acidity. A delightful wine for drinking chilled, it's crying out for pasta and tomatoe sauce.

Galuval Caladoc 'Les Cepages Locaux' (France) - Caladoc is a relatively unknown variety from the south of France, a cross between Malbec and Grenache.  The principal distinguishing feature of this variety is its dense, almost black colour. It is also recognisable for its aromas of very ripe red fruit and a slight spiciness.  In the mouth it is concentrated and very fruit forward with a superb tannic structure.

Domaine Zafeirakis, Limniona Red (Greece) - From central Greece, in the foothills of Mount Olympus, Limniona is a variety capable of producing lightly textured reds with a medium body, herbal, almost pinot-esque quality.  The perfumed and pure nose displays aromas of roses and cherries.  Savoury notes combine with well-played tannins on the palate and well managed oak. This is a great example of Limniona, enjoy!!
