A world away from the heavier, more intense expressions of Carignan you might find in the Languedoc or Priorat. The Follow Your Dreams Carignan from Craig Hawkins is lighter-bodied but still hugely aromatic with aromas of crushed berries and flowers. It's all red berries on the palate too - think raspberry and cherry, with tart pomegranate, plus lovely herbaceous notes for that lingering savoury finish.
Serve chilled from an ice bucket and then pour out into generous glasses.
