The top red wine site in Dezize-Lès-Maranges. 60+ year old vines give unusual depth and concentration. Lovely, complex mixture of red and black fruits, a rich, generous texture and impressive length on the finish.
Franck Lamargue has been running this 12 hectare domaine based in the village of Le Rochepot, just over the hill from Saint Aubin, since 2005. The vineyards are worked organically and the grapes harvested by hand. A combination of new and old oak is used to vinify a range of generous whites and reds that offer tremendous value for money from some of the lesser-known villages of the southern Côte de Beaune.
