Coastal Red Wine Case
6 Red Wines from our diverse range inspired by the Cornish coast from around the world. The coastal factor in winemaking terms often brings a cooling influence to vines which allows for slower ripening and the potential to retain higher acidity to keep your pallet tingling!
Capofeto Nero d'Avola
The Sicilian viticulture is unique in the world: diversified territories on the slopes of the mountains or near the sea. Capofeto Nero a'Avola is organic and a full-bodied wine that reveals gorgeous aromatics of blackberry liqueur and vanilla with hints of chocolate. Perfect with any grilled red meat.
Appassimento di Puglia
Coastal Puglia in the sun kissed South of Italy is known as the heel of the boot of Italy and has hundreds of miles of coast line. The Appassimento Rosso Puglia is a full bodied wine made from carefully selected Negroamaro, Malvasia Nero, Merlot and Cabernet grapes. The Appassimento method helps produce a wine that is full bodied, rich and complex. Lots of ripe dark cherries, fresh herbs and vanilla.
Allan Scott, Holmes Point Pinot Noir
The Marlborough region is best known for Sauvignon Blanc, but Pinot Noir loves the cooler coastal climate too! This succulent Pinot Noir has aromas of spice, currant and dark Ghana chocolate. A juicy cherry mouthfeel matches perfectly with the grippy bitterness of the dark cocoa.
Gran Cerdo Tempranillo
Gran Cerdo Tempranillo is all about the purest expression of fruit with whole bunch fermentation, no filtration, no stabilization and minimal sulphur. Make sure you read the back label too!
Astruc Malbec
This Malbec is made in the southern-most and coolest Coastal area of Limoux in the Languedoc. This is a rich and velvety Malbec with good aromatic complexity. There are ripe, black cherries and plums on the nose with a smooth palate, silky texture and warm layers of spice. Pairs well with lamb, smoked game or cottage pie.
Domaine Astruc, d'A Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
The vineyards of Domaine Astruc benefit from a very special microclimate, sheltered by the Pyrenees, where oceanic and Mediterranean climates combine. Quintessential aromas of mocha and black berries with a touch of toast. The full bodied palate has ripe black fruit characters and ripe tannins. Perfect with steak.
