Chateau Deville Blanc, Entre Deux Mers

Crisp and clean as a whistle & dry, medium bodied with citric lemon and grapefruit notes from the Sauvignon, underpinned with a textural richness from the Semillon. This is no nonsense, brilliantly executed white Bordeaux. Very satisfying with a lifted zesty finish.

Pairs well with goats cheese tart, white fish and beurre blanc.

Chateau Filhot, Sauternes - Half Bottle/375ml

The Château Filhot is a classic Sauternes with fresh Sauvignon Blanc flavours to lift the richness of the Semillon.  Delicious as an aperitif or serve with melon, Scallops, a good roast free-range chicken, cheeseboard (bleus and Roquefort) or desserts (almond cake, fruit tart).

Chateau des Anneraux, Lalande de Pomerol

Famous winery of Lalande de Pomerol, Chateau des Annereaux is owned by the same family since the XVth century. The estate, which is currently run by Dominque and Benjamin Hessel, has used organic farming methods since 2007. Its vineyard is located on the middle bench of the Isle Valley, high quality soils composed of sand, gravel and larger cobbles soils from Quaternary period. Its wines are subtle, fruity, harmonious and have an elegant aromatic expression. Considered to be producing some of its finest wines for many years, prompting Decanter Magazine to call this property 'an essential discovery for any claret lover'. Opulent and lush on the palate with silky tannins. The finish is lingering. Enjoy with roast chicken, quail or loin lamb chops.

Saintayme, Saint Emilion Grand Cru

Saintayme 2017 is 100% Merlot from a 9 hectare plot and a joy of supple fruit and easy flow. Not complex, but hard to fault for sheer fruit. Nice acidity keeps it fresh to the finish, and the tannins are fine.  Denis Durantou's 'entry level' wine that is to say the wine not produced at his flagship Pomerol estate, Chateau L'Eglise Clinet.  Denis is quite rightly very proud of his 2017s, referring to them as a 'rare triplet' (with 2015 and 2016).  100% matured in one year old barrels  Pairs well with roast beef or Classic Entrecôte à la Bordelaise.

Chateau Bellecroix, Bordeaux Superieur

A rich and spicy, medium-bodied Bordeaux red wine with blackcurrant, violet and tobacco notes. This lovely Claret is made and bottled at the Chateau, which is around 13km away from Bordeaux on the right bank of the river Garonne. A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, it exudes the elegance and quality that the Chateau in renowned for.  Pairs well with red meats, casseroles, and strong mature cheeses.

Chateau Grand Village Rouge, Bordeaux Superieur 2017

The Château Grand Village winery has been owned by the Guinaudeau family since the middle of the 17th century. The family also owns the legendary Château Lafleur. Their land is located in Mouillac, on the opposite side of Fronsac and covers an area of 50 hectares. The land is worked by the same team as at Château Lafleur. The soils are made of clay and chalk and the vines are planted on both hillsides and plains. The average age of the vines is 20 years old. Grapes are manually harvested with a carefully selection and a focus on quality.  Fermented in traditional cement tanks and aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new.  Pairs well with classic meats.  Try with Asian dishes or rich fish courses like tuna.
