Henriques & Henriques 10 year old Verdelho Madeira

Henriques & Henriques 10 year old Verdelho shows a brilliant amber in the glass with golden and greenish nuances. The wines opens with aroma of dried fruits, namely raisins and figs, with honey and old wood.

This is an off-dry style displaying aromas of wood, caramel, dried fruits, exotic spices and Seville orange. Nice acidity in perfect balance with its body. Fabulous palate, with all sorts of nuances of tea, caramel, glacé fruit sweetness and the mid-palate nougat and softly nutty richness. The acid and definition here is terrific, with lovely balance and finesse. A complex wine, showing vivacity and freshness and with a long finish.

Served slightly chilled as an aperitif or with smoked fish and/or spicy oriental style dishes.
