Sylvain Bzikot's Puligny Montrachet is impressive and sits very comforatbly alongside far more renowned names. The grapes for this village level Puligny Montrachet are sourced from 10 separate parcels, all hand harvested. Half is matured in 1 year old oak barrels to add some richness and density, with the other half matured in stainless steel to preserve the freshness and delicacy of flavour of the fruits. The bouquet offers up a combination of orchard and citrus fruits with a creamy textured palate with more pear, apple and white peach flavours. Concentrated, with fresh balancing acidity.

"Inviting creamy citrus aroma, mealy but still fresh-fruited. There's a sour-citrus freshness here and intensity on the mid palate. Long, intense grapefruit-flavoured finish." Drink 2025-2030 16.5/20 points, Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com, January 2024

Sylvain Bzikot’s grandfather arrived in Burgundy from Poland just before the Second World War and steadily built up the estate in the post-war years when land was plentiful and cheap. Now with a total of 15 hectares covering vineyards that produce Bourgogne Blanc, Aligoté and Pinot Noir, through to Puligny Montrachet and 1er Cru Puligny Montrachet too.
