The Chateau d'Ollieres Provence Rose comes from the Coteaux Varios Appelation in Provence, South of France. The appelation is also known as the “The Heart of Provence”, this region, in the middle of Provence features undulating limestone mountain ranges. Vineyards at these slightly higher altitudes are cooler so the grapes benefit from longer, slower ripening, giving the finished wines good acidity, complex flavors and structure.
The 2017 vintage is a blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Cinsault and 10% Syrah. This perky pink has good freshness, delicious floral fruit and a refreshing spiciness. Its utterly delicious. The Chateau d'Ollieres Vin de Provence is really versatile and would pair well with most Meditteranean sylte dishes from olives to seafood to grilled vegtables.
