Ayala Brut Majeur Rose NV

A delicate cherry colour with a hint of copper. The mousse is fine and persistent.

On the nose, there are aromas of red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, morello cherries) together with spice notes.

On the palate, this wine is powerful, vinous and is well balanced. The finish, rich and fresh, is elegant and long lasting.

Ayala is owned by the Bollinger Champagne House.

48% Pinot Noir, 34% Chardonnay, 18% Pinot Meunier

Ayala was taken over by its neighbour Bollinger in 2005 and it’s a name to keep an eye on. More that 50 per cent chardonnay, this rosé is intense and deliciously dry, with redcurrant and an impression of both potency and finesse. Will Lyons, The Sunday Times Magazine, 9th August 2020
