One of the first ever Super Tuscans to launch, back in 1971, it changed Italian wine forever and has won the hearts of wine fans the world over. Out now is the much anticipated new release of Tignanello 2019. The 2019 is expected to continue the trend of outstanding wine... The 2018 scored a huge 97 points from Vinous's Antonio Galloni, this is the second highest scoring vintage ever, behind the 98pt 2015 and 2016 vintages. We wait in anticipation for the 2019 scores.....

2019 VINTAGE NOTE
The 2019 growing season in Chianti Classico was defined by rather normal climatic conditions: winter was rather cold with limited rainfall and the first half of spring was cool and rainy especially during the months of April and May. Summer weather was hot, uninterrupted by major heat spikes, with slightly higher than average precipitation levels, which ensured a normal growth cycle of both the vines and the grape clusters. Ideal climatic conditions set in at the end of August and continued throughout  September and October, allowing all grape varieties grown in the Tignanello vineyard to reach optimal ripeness. Harvesting activities began in the second half of September with Sangiovese, and were concluded the 16th of October with Cabernet.
