Sympathy For The Devil Verdejo Sauvignon Blanc

A delicious blend of Organic Verdejo and Organic Sauvignon Blanc.  Pale straw in colour with an intense aromas of tropical fruits, grapefruit and other citrus fruits all backed up by a mineral tone.  Fresh and balanced in the mouth with more fresh, ripe orchard fruit flavours.  Good acidity and a touch of spice on the finish make this an incredibly moreish wine.

The vineyards are situated in Toledo, on poor soils, of red and clay earth, with the yields per hectare being pretty low. We don’t do any treatments for disease or insects, as it is the perfect place for sincere, sustainable and ecological winegrowing.

Recommended with all types of seafood, fish, starters, light and rice dishes, being the perfect combination with the ‘Mediterranean diet’.

Sympathy for the Devil’s rhythm is a samba. Keith Richards said, “It started as a sort of acoustic folk song and finished like a slightly mad samba, with me playing the bass and recording the guitar later. That’s why I don’t like going into the studio with songs already prepared”. The documentary One Plus One by Jean Luc Godard contains the recording sessions of this song which lasted five days. There was a moment when one of the lights used for recording the documentary fell over and set fire to the whole studio. The tapes were saved but the Stones’ guitars were not.
