Roagna's Solea 2022 is a full-bodied white wine, a blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Nebbiolo, with the Nebbiolo vinified off the skins, as a white wine.
This distinctive combination was envisioned by Luca Roagna`s father in the 1970s, aiming to explore the potential of Nebbiolo in white wine production. The must undergoes hyperoxidation to preserve long-term stability. Undergoing natural fermentation solely in wooden vats, employing wild, native yeasts that lasts approximately ten days. Following this, the wine matures in a neutral oak barrel for about two years. The result exhibits a unique blend of orchard fruit, white flowers, citrus peel and a touch of spice and nuttiness, reflecting the methodical tradition of the Roagna family.
