‘Montemarzino’ is the most recent white wine from Roagna, born from the idea of creating an indigenous white with a potential for very long ageing. Made from Timorasso, a historical grape variety grown on the hills of Tortona. The wine is fermented with natural yeasts in large oak casks followed by a 24-month maturation period. Expect notes of wildflowers, citrus fruit and a deeply mineral finish.
Luca produces one of the finest examples of Timorasso from just 1 hectare in the Colli Tortonesi, 400 metres above sea level. Mineral and saline, with notes of lemon confit and exotic fruit, this is surely one of the most distinctive and exhilarating white wines in Italy. Pure finesse. Quantities are extremely limited.
