Olivier Leflaive, Puligny Montrachet 2020

Grapes for this wine come from the Meursault side of Puligny, and from the heart of the village, just below 1st Growths like Clavoillon and Perrières. New oak barrels in this cuvée average 20%. It opens with a youthful bouquet of spring flowers and limes and is just packed with aromas which are abundantly fresh and lemony. The palate is luscious and fleshy and has a silky textured palate with stone fruit and green apple notes. It is balanced by a racy mineral note, with good depth of flavour and is utterly gorgeous on the finish. This is a super bottle of wine and rightly sits as one of the flagship wines for Olivier Leflaive! Drink from 2024.

Ideal with grilled veal served with mushrooms, grilled saltwater fish and goat cheese.
