In the heart of the Côte des Blancs, between Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet, Saint Aubin is a wine producing village in the south of the Côte de Beaune. The land is rich in brown clay, with steeply sloping hills facing the East and South-east. Altitude varies from 300-350 meters.
The 2024 vintage of the Saint Aubin 1er Cru Les Pitangerets is Jacques' first vintage for this cuvée following a complete replanting of his ½ ha plot in 2020. Already the wine epitomises the appellations identity perfectly, being full-bodied in the mouth with a beautiful citrus backbone, silky smooth, with a bright finish. As always there is a purity of fruit that runs through all of Carillon's wines and this wine is no different.
