Hell's Stone whisky is now six months old! It's been a wild ride since the launch in the summer and so to celebrate they thought they'd release their very first limited edition!

For this one, they have taken their Hell's Stone Duloe blend whisky and aged it for a further 6 months in a Mezcal barrel in the shadow of St Michael's Mount on the wild Cornish coast.

The result is a complex oaky whisky with a spicy mezcal after taste.

Their friends over at Diageo lobbied for some time in order to change the rules so they can use Mezcal barrels at some of their Scottish Distilleries. Since Shaun at Pocketful of Stones is quite literally writing the rules on what Cornish Whisky is and can be, they don't have to worry about any of that - you don't need to change the rules when you're busy making them!

With only 400 bottles available in this run this Mezcal aged Uxmal blend whisky is not going to hang around for long!
