Glorious Gamay Mixed Case (6 Bottles)

We love Gamay and this case is a celebration of Gamay, which is a descendant of Pinot Noir.  

The Gamay grape is an ancient variety that can be traced back to the middle ages.  Unfortunately, its early history was deeply condemning!  The variety was banished from Burgundy in 1395 by the Duke of Burgundy, Philip the Bold.  He announced that any vines of Gamay must be pulled out with immediate effect!

Due to this, Gamay found its home just to the South of Burgundy in Beaujolais and the rest is history as they say.

This case will take you on a journey from the Loire to a 100% Gamay Macon (yes Burgundian red!) before 4 Beaujolais wines including visiting a few of our favourite Beaujolais cru's!  We hope you love Gamay as much as we do at the end of this case!
