Domaine Jean Foillard, Beaujolais Blanc 2023

From a parcel in the commune of Pizay, this is actually the very first vintage to be released of Foillard's Beaujolais Blanc. The grapes started out with two days of cold maceration of whole cluster Chardonnay before pressing and fermentation. Half the wine was vinified in concrete vats, with the remainder split between old barrels and amphora. Charming and elegant, it shows a floral bouquet and a refined, mineral palate with attractive fresh almond notes and a refreshing finish - delicious from release.
