Fincas de Azabache, Tempranillo Blanco Brut NV - Tim Atkin's Sparkling Discovery of the Year (2021 Rioja Report) - "This sparkling blend is made with the Tempranillo Blanco grape which, as a natural mutation of a more common black grape, is a relatively new fruit that lends itself perfectly to the creation of unique, flavourful wines.  With a beautifully styled bottle and refreshingly tropical flavours, this dry white wine deserves pride of place on any dinner table" - we couldn't agree more!

Monopole Clasico Blanco 2019 -  From the start of last century until the 1970s, Monopole was a reference point in homes and hostelries throughout Spain, and one of CVNE's foremost wines. Sadly, existing trends changed, sales slipped and in the 80s production stopped.  In 2014, celebrating the brand's centenary year, the Monopole was reborn, now under the name of Monopole Clásico: a seductive and striking wine thanks to a small amount of Manzanilla, a commemorative wine which draws deeply on tradition to welcome in the present.

Bodegas Roda 1 Reserva 2017 - Bodegas Roda is one of Rioja's forward-thinking producers.  A extremely dry 2017 vintage Rioja from Roda which has concentrated the flavours, yileds were down 60%.  Produced with a core of Tempranillo grapes, balanced by a small addition of Graciano, harvested from vines that are at least 30 years old.  Following fermentation, and a 16-month maturation in French oak, it spends a further 20 months cellaring in the bottle.  Outstanding wine to be enjoyed beside fresh tapas, and red meat dishes.
