Nero d’Avola is Italy’s - or more specifically Sicily’s - answer to rich and inky-black reds from the New World, such as Merlot or Malbec. This Nero d’Avola is an all-round crowd-pleaser: supple tannins, warm and jammy fruit, a herbaceous touch, juicy acidity. It would be quite the challenge not to knock this back with gusto!
