The Rosso Piceno comprises 80% Sangiovese and 20% Montepulciano and is seriously appealing with a deep ruby colour, a vinous bouquet of fresh red fruit as well as minty and earthy characteristics having mellowed in oak barrels for a short while. Red cherries and berries, balsamic undertones and herby hints make for a wonderfully well-balanced wine. It’s killer with roast or grilled meats and game.
