A very special orange wine from the birthplace of skin contact wines. This is a traditional 'qvevri' amber wine, vinified on skins and then aged for a further 6 months on skins too. Made from 100% Rkatsiteli grapes this is a clean, yet concentrated wine . It showcases classic aromas of stone fruits, honey, fenugreek and crushed minerals. It exudes freshness and vibrancy while maintaining a delicately textured profile, rendering it an exceptionally versatile wine. A weighty wine showing tannins normally associated with a red wine.
Situated in the Kakheti AOC in eastern Georgia, Orgo is run by Temuri Dakishvili, the Dakishvili family’s fourth-generation winemaker. His father, Gogi, is credited as one of the most skilled and influential winemakers in Georgia. They produce high-quality wines made in traditional qvevri vessels (clay amphora) for vinification and maturation.
