Made in an early-drinking style from 'younger' vines (10-50 years old) grown on limestone, primary rock and loam from Neckenmarkt and Lutzmannsburg. Gentle pressing and extraction, natural fermentation in open vats and steel tank, followed by 12 months in large old oak barrels. A wonderful introduction to Roland's elegant take on Blaufrankisch with its signature characteristics of high-toned aromatic blue fruits, spice, and black tea. A wine that will drink now and age well for years to come.
