From relatively young vines planted in 2013, just south of the village, this is broader textured than the Puligny-Montrachet. Soft yellow fruits and orchard apples on the palate are balanced by a chalky mineral note. Shows surprising energy and length for young vines
Domaine Louis Carillon was formed in 1692, and in 2012 it was split between brothers Jacques and his brother François. Jacques now owns a precious 5.5 hectares of vines; the village Puligny and 1er Cru `Les Perrières` was split in half, while Jacques kept the 1er Crus `Champs-Canet`, `Les Referts` and the entire holding of Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet. He also makes use of a Chassagne-Montrachet village vineyard and another plot of 1er Cru Chassagne `Les Macherelles`. Having been winemaker at Louis Carillon before the split, Jacques` style has not changed. The wines still reflect his extreme dedication to quality winemaking and hands-off approach in the cellar. We are delighted to be offering the following 7 wines from this superb domaine.
