This is a single estate wine from Paul Mas. It's from Terrasses du Lazarac in the heart of the Coteaux du Languedoc. Aged partly in oak, this Merlot has very attractive bright plum and cherry flavours with some herbaceous notes and a touch of spice. It's soft and plummy with delicate herbal notes. Soft and juicy, it's easy drinking with a touch of oak and spice on the finish. Pretty tasty in our opinion!

The Domaine was created in 1960 on the place called "The Ricards Cres" in the town of Ceyras. 50 years later, Jean-Claude Mas acquired these 28 hectares, fascinated by the fantastic terroir, capable of producing velvety wine with intense aromas. At the foot of Mount Baudile, this vineyard offers a unique geography, with its red earth, its slates and pebbles. Yields are low and the selection of severe bays for generous wines. In 2012, Jean-Claude Mas acquired the surrounding vineyards to the field, which today brings to 39 the number of hectares of Cres Ricards.
