A great success for Nicolas Thienpont. This is an absolutely delicious Saint Emilion - rich, ripe and velvety, yet with fine balance and complex nuances from ageing. Lifted black-fruit perfume, lovely freshness and velvet texture. A deeply satisfying red wine.
Chateau Berliquet's vineyard covers 7.5 hectares of hillside on the edge of the clay-limestone Saint Emilion plateau, a well-favoured location that helps produce wine of concentration offset by freshness.
