Alvaro Palacios, Vi de Vila Gratallops 2022

Alvaro Palacios Vi da Vila Gratallops 2022 is a Garnacha-based red wine produced in the Priorat region of Spain. Produced from organically farmed old bush vines in Priorat`s principal winemaking village of Gratallops, Vi da Vila is in effect the `village wine` of the estate and includes a small amount of Cariñena in addition to the white grape varieties Grenache Blanca, Macabeo and Pedro Ximénez. Álvaro Palacios has quickly come to be recognised as one of Spain’s greatest winemakers. With a focus on local varieties from exceptionally old, low-yielding vines, he is consistently crafting some of the country’s finest wines.

"2022 Gratallops has a pure, focused nose of earthy raspberries and blackberries with a fine herbal scent of tarragon, sage and thyme. There is a delicious, sweet grenadine character to the red fruit behind the black. The palate is bright, fresh, pure and focused with fine tannins on the finish.
