Aluna Coconut Rum

Aluna Coconut is a sublime blend of rums from Guatemala and the Caribbean with all-natural toasted coconut and pure, sustainably sourced coconut water. Lower in sugar, Aluna Coconut is the perfect choice for a new generation looking for better, more mindful drinks and fresh, vibrant flavours. 

Aluna was conceived over a beach bbq, gazing out to sea as the moon, the big coconut in the sky, rose over the waves.  A conversation between three friends who all loved coconut when it was fresh, natural and delicious and appreciated great rum, but couldn't find a coconut rum that wasn't sweet and synthetic.  

They macerate toasted coconut and blend it with three rums.  A lightly aged rum from Guatemala made from hand-cut, first-press sugar cane fermented with yeast from the pineapple plant gives a subtle layer of natural sweetness.  Young rums from the Caribbean give classic rum character and strength.  Before bottling they add pure, traceable, sustainably sourced coconut water which extends the fresh, coconut flavour and gives the rum a wonderfully smooth mouthfeel.  We think the flavours really shine through and that has a lot to do with the fact that they don't hide them behind a wall of suga!
